It’s pronounced “ninety” + “odd” — but it means something dope.
90odd is all about thinking about the bigger picture. The phrase itself comes from a line in an essay by C.S. Lewis, called Meditation in a Toolshed.
I was standing today in the dark toolshed. The sun was shining outside and through the crack at the top of the door there came a sunbeam. From where I stood that beam of light, with the specks of dust floating in it, was the most striking thing in the place. Everything else was almost pitch-black. I was seeing the beam, not seeing things by it.
Then I moved, so that the beam fell on my eyes. Instantly the whole previous picture vanished. I saw no toolshed, and (above all) no beam. Instead I saw, framed in the irregular cranny at the top of the door, green leaves moving on the branches of a tree outside and beyond that, 90 odd million miles away, the sun. Looking along the beam, and looking at the beam are very different experiences.
We look at the bigger picture to respond to the intersection of brand + audience. We believe that successful digital campaigns and content marketing involves tinkering with the pieces that best solve the puzzle. We’ll do what yields the most effective results.
Traditional agencies make promises. We make things happen.
The “bigger picture” also means we understand just how valuable marketing strategy can be for impact makers who are genuinely trying to bootstrap their way towards saving the world. We give back to select non-profits and social enterpreneurs through initiatives we dub the Impact Lab.
Through our Impact Lab, we try to think like a social enterprise. Our resources go back into business models, products, and services that aim to better the world.
